To further enhance the service quality of urban taxis in the five districts and standardize their civilized business practices, while intensifying efforts to address violations such as drivers maliciously disabling satellite positioning devices or obstructing or damaging in-vehicle monitoring equipment, the Municipal Traffic Law Enforcement Team convened a coordination meeting on the afternoon of March 14. The meeting focused on regulating the non-compliant use of intelligent monitoring devices in urban taxis. Attendees included representatives from the Sixth Brigade of the Municipal Traffic Law Enforcement Team, the Taxi Division of the Municipal Road Transport Center, traffic law enforcement teams and road transport management centers from the five districts (Haishu, Yinzhou, Jiangbei, Zhenhai, and Beilun), as well as responsible personnel from the taxi service management system platform company.
During the meeting, local law enforcement teams and road transport centers engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on improving the handling process for abnormal clues, optimizing data screening rules, and enhancing the efficiency of violation rectification. They also reached a consensus on the workflow coordination between local law enforcement teams and road transport centers.
The meeting emphasized that, in strict compliance with the Notice on Further Strengthening the Regulation of Violations Such as Drivers Obstructing or Damaging In-Vehicle Monitoring Equipment in Urban Taxis, local law enforcement teams and road transport centers must strengthen collaboration to form a joint effort. They are required to promptly communicate standardized business requirements to every taxi enterprise in their jurisdiction. Road transport centers are tasked with urging enterprises to fulfill their management responsibilities and address issues at the source, while law enforcement teams must strictly handle drivers and taxi operators who repeatedly fail to rectify violations in accordance with laws and regulations.
In the next steps, the Municipal Traffic Law Enforcement Team will enhance guidance on law enforcement practices for the five district teams, follow up on the investigation and handling of related issues, and promote the healthy and stable development of the industry.
